- About -
Well, the story is pretty simple. Crypto Santa is a very lazy Santa.
That's why he decided to change the way to deliver gifts to more comfortable and secure - by using internet and blockchain technology.
You can buy a gift and sent it to anyone - even to yourself.
Option to purchase a gift from Santa will be available only until the end of 31st of the December.
After that, the only way to get the gift is to buy existing from others.
Gifts are random, so you don't know what you sent until you or your friend unwrap the gift.
It's better not to send gifts to children and those who do not have a sense of humor.
First of all, you need to Sign Up to create your account - it's quite easy, you just need an email.
After that, you will be able to buy gifts and send them to your friend's email.
You may choose another way if you are experienced enough - you can generate the ethereum wallet for your friend by yourself and put a private key under his Christmas tree.
They are some cryptojunk, really. Real cryptojunk©.
In total, there are 100 unique items can be found in gift boxes. One in each box.
Technically speaking gifts are special crypto-collectibles, non-fungible ERC721 tokens.
Because you can't buy them after 2017 is over, their total amount in the world will be limited. And if you get some duplicates, you can choose to sell them to other players so that they can collect them all.
You can buy, sell or trade your gifts with others and be sure, that it's secure because the ethereum blockchain behind them will track ownership securely.
The only limit how many gifts are there is how many gifts will be sent until the final hour of 31st of the December.
In case you decide to collect complete collection you will need to get 100 different gifts.
Well, yes, if someone will send it to you.
Also, you can get free gifts, if you will spread the word about this website and post your personal link on Facebook, Twitter and anywhere else on the internet.
You can get your personal link, in Free gifts section.
For each new friend that will come here clicking on your link and send gifts to his friends you will get one free gift.
When you buy gifts from Santa, it will cost you 0.01 ETH + Ethereum network fee.
If you buy them from others... Well, the price will be determined by them. Look at it as if you want to buy collectible postage stamp from your neighbor - it's almost the same.
When you login to your account, you can click on "Send crypto gifts" at the bottom of the page. After that, there will be the window with two tabs: Basic form and Advanced one.
Put there how many gifts you want to send. You can manage that value with the plus/minus buttons.
The basic form allows you to send gifts to your friend with only their email. In that case, we will generate new ethereum address for them together with the private key and you have nothing to worry about.
You can attach a personal note to gift, of course.
The advanced form allows you to set ethereum address of receiver by yourself. Also you can add some Ethers to gift box here.
Be wary! If you decide to use advanced mode and generate address by yourself for your friend, you have to send him private key! It is very important. No one in the world will be able to recover gifts and Eth if you will lose private key.
Also, you can put existing address here.
That's optional features. When you choose "Incognito", your email and name don't show for the recipient. When you choose "Surprise", the recipient will receive notification only when the holiday arrives (Christmas or New Year, depending on what you chose).
First of all, you'll need MetaMask, the online wallet for the cryptocurrency, and ETH or Ether cryptocurrency. Also, you'll need an email to register your account and Mac or PC to be able to use a browser.
You need to create the MetaMask account. Be very careful and keep your password and the seed words safe, so no one will be able to get access to your online wallet.
Because MetaMask is just a wallet, you need to put some Ether there first, just like you put money in your usual wallet.
Yes, you can buy as many gifts, as you want. Fifteen at a time.
And you can send them all to the same person - it's entirely up to you.
Well, not exactly. Bitcoin is cryptocurrency, the same as Ethereum. And crypto gifts are almost the same as real gifts - just in digital form and protected by blockchain technology.
As you can see in smart contract, any gift you receive will belong to you. Like any product or property.
Yes, sure. Here it is: github
